I’m moving from an island to another island. It sounds like I’m having a sunny holiday and traveling around the islands of the world; sitting on the beach, reading a book, drinking freshly-squeezed tropical juice…… IN MY DREAM LA!!! I’m not a fan of beaches anyway. Don’t like hot weather. I prefer to travel around the world and do some FOOD-tasting. Japan and Taiwan are my top 2 “countries-that-i-want-to-go list” Yummy... sigh… also in my dream la……
ANYWAY! For those who already know, I’m in the Lion-City! Singapore! I really thank God that He gave me a job here. After so many months of discovering my calling, my purpose and my desire, I really believe this job is really providence from Him. These few days I was doing some thinking and praying about what He wants me to do here. He has been preparing me for the past few months, so I just want to remember what He had taught me.
O God, You are my God,
Earnestly I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You,
My body longs for You,
In a dry and weary land
Where there is no water. – Psalm 63:1
May God be gracious to us and bless us
And make His face shine upon us,
Selah
That Your ways may be known on earth,
Your salvation among all nations. – Psalm 67:1-2
Yet I am always with You;
You hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with Your counsel,
And afterwards You will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And earth has nothing I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength f my heart
And my portion forever. – Psalm 73:23-26
I already knew that life in Singapore is not easy, especially that I will be working as a junior auditor. Life is going to be so crazy x 1,000. But I will trust my God. If He called me here, He already prepared a way for me. He will give me His favor, strength and grace that I need. I really believe I will go through the hardships with Him by my side. If God is for me, who can be against me? Friends, I ask you to keep me in prayer, that I won’t be losing focus on Jesus and what He called me to do. He is everything I need.
The Spirit of the Sovereign God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,
To proclaim freedom for the captives
And release from darkness for the prisoners,
To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
And the day of vengeance of our God,
To comfort all who mourn,
And provide for those who grieve in Zion –
To bestow on them a crown of beauty
Instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness
Instead of mourning,
And a garment of praise
Instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
A planting of the Lord
For the display of His splendor. – Isaiah 61:1-3
A new and exciting chapter of my life indeed =)
